About CUFC

Cambridge University Fencing Club (CUFC) is one of the oldest and most successful University fencing clubs in the United Kingdom.

CUFC has fostered Olympians and national champions in its recent history, but prides itself on providing an inclusive and enjoyable atmosphere for fencers of all levels. The Club runs programmes for both beginner and intermediate fencers in all three weapons, plus regular social events to ensure a strong sense of esprit de scorps.

The club enters multiple men's and women's teams in various British universities competitions (BUCS) and also permits its fencers to enter into the BUCS individuals championship and other fencing events. The focus of the year, however, is the annual Varsity match against Oxford. CUFC is currently ascendent in this respect, having secured Women's firsts trophy and both the Men's and Women's seconds trophies in 2014 with the Men's firsts losing narrowly.
