CUFC Teams

CUFC currently has four teams which compete in the BUCS leagues, two Men's teams and two Women's teams. CUFC has been extremely successful in the BUCS (formerly BUSA) leagues with both the Men's Firsts and Women's Firsts regularly occupying the top positions in their respective Premier South Divisions. The Men's Firsts have won the Premier South division an impressive 8 times since the 2004/2005 season. The Men's and Women's Seconds are both in the Midlands 1A divisions and are strong contenders in divisions mostly comprised of first teams, the Women's Seconds in particular having finished first and second in the two years since their re-entry into BUCS.

Aside from the BUCS leagues, both first teams participate in the BUCS Championships with the Men's Firsts winning the trophey over 10 times since 2000.

Despite the success in BUCS, the annual Varsity match with Oxford is the main focus for all the teams. The Varsity match is held in Lent term, alternating each year between Cambridge and Oxford. In 2016 Oxford will be hosting the Varsity match, and Cambridge will be looking to match their overwhelming success in Varsity 2015, in which they won all four matches, this time on the opposing team's home ground.
